The Mexican restaurant market is in need of a revamp, and thankfully Peyotito have stepped in to teach us a thing or two about modern Mexican cuisine. This restaurant is all about sophisticated stylish Mexican dinning with complex but well executed and refined dishes.
What we Ate:
Choose your dishes wisely from each section Crudo, Masa, Ceviche, and Mole – they all sound and look amazing!
Crudo; our server recommended the yellowfin tuna, or the Tostada De Atun as romantically pronounced by him! This was served with salsa macha, guacamole, and homemade tostada. A rustic dish but with a fine dining finesse.
Masa; A grilled chicken tacos dish served with homemade adobo, pineapple, white bean purée. The perfectly balanced sweet and savoury plate.
Mole: Pescado con mole verde, or sea bream to you and me, was a delicate melt in the mouth fish, served with homemade adobo and seasonal vegetables.
What We Drank:
Do not leave without trying the Peyotito Margarita; a shaken Margarita with a spicy Tajin rimmed glass, blanco tequila, Cointreau, agave syrup, lime juice and a Mezcal vial for you to personalise the flavour.
The octopus ceviche was by bar far our favourite dish. The sliced fish was undoubtedly super fresh and served with a simple Mexican salsa and homemade clamato.
The sharing dishes at Peyoitio are perfect for an intimate Mexican lunch or dinner, but if it is a Mexican fiesta you are after, the restaurant has a fully equped DJ set-up for some sophisticated late night lounge music. Spoil your guest and treat them to Peyotito’s Chef’s Table experience which offers a sensational private dining experience – perfect for any gathering or celebration.
