The Kitty Hawk is the newest opening following the multi-use venue trend that is sweeping the capital. This vast 400 cover restaurant features a coffee shop, wine bar, lunchtime grab-and-go deli, and an array of elegant, sophisticated private dinning spaces.
We dined in the up market restaurant, which boasts an elevated open kitchen. The Kitty Hawk is not shy to brag about their loyalty to British produce, serving award winning Ashdale steak, Bransley chop and Brixham scallops.
The creamy burrata served with braised puy lentils and roasted beetroots is a beautiful dish! Garnished artfully with shaved radishes and heritage baby carrots.
Go for the Smoked Gressingham duck reared in Suffolk and served with a bitter/sweet liquorice and plum chutney. Extra crunch is added to this tender duck starter with toasted pecans, fresh pomegranate and sesame seeds.
The steak tartare is served at the table, and mixed to taste with shallots, capers, cornichons and mustard. Topped with a quail’s egg for added richness, this indulgent dish is served with grilled sourdough. We loved the selection of sides in Kitty Hawks, so there is no excuse not to get one of your five a day, with greens such as honey roasted root veg and wilted spinach with nutmeg.
Expect New York style and glamour with the best of British on the menu! The Kitty Hawk is already making a great name for itself at the Moorgate premise. But they are also coming to a location near you, with new openings spanning across London City and the West End.
