REVIEW: Saucy Chip

Saucy Chip

Festival favourite Saucy Chip has taken up permanent residence in Fitizrovia’s Jerusalem Bar & Kitchen.

The Vibes:

Sticking to what they do best, Saucy Chip are dishing up their signature triple cooked hand cup chips along with an array of naughty favourites including Saucy Chic – buttermilk chicken burger and the Double Whammy stacked with two beef patties. Even jumbo sized saucy dogs!

What we Ate:

We must admit, straight away I knew it would be difficult to choose what to order, as everything on the menu sounds deliciously scoff-able! But we restrained ourselves from completely over indulging on the moreish selection and went for some of the classics.

Try some fried bites and go for the gooey, Great Balls of Mac and Cheese.

As recommended by our server, the Rock and Roll fries did not disappoint. Signature saucy chips are smothered in 24hr steeped beef gravy, secret seasoning, and topped with melted cheese.

The buttermilk marinated chicken burger is another mighty portion but ultimately juicy, coated with some garlic and spicy mayo.

We Recommend:

‘Be Jesus’ Irish nachos take the yankie sharing classic and swap dry boring nachos for triple cooked saucy chips. Then piled with juicy salsa, jalapenos, bacon bites,  spring onion and melted cheddar and red Leicester cheese. And Be Jesus theY’RE good! (sorry couldn’t help it!).

Our Thoughts:

Jerusalem Bar and Kitchen is know for its after-work buzzing atmosphere with awesome drinks and dance. But now Saucy Chip have brought the party to the next level with some seriously good food that makes this Fitzrovia favorite our newest after work winner!
