Time flies when your’e having fun, and we cannot believe its August already! And although it feel like everyone is posting Instagram pics from sandy beaches & poolside bars, its not all doom and gloom in London! We have this months hottest new openings. From seawater pizza to red king crab, these new openings will certainly wash away those holiday blues!

This July, Suvlaki, the Athenian restaurant from Irene Margariti and Yannis Theodorakakos is coming to Brick Lane, Shoreditch. Taking inspiration from the metropolis of Athens, the restaurant will take on a decidedly urban aesthetic with a menu led by their signature suvlaki, cooked over hot coals and accompanied by small plates. With ingredients sourced from the best British and Greek producers, the traditional grilled meat skewer, ‘Suvlaki’ leads the menu, with plates to be ordered on the stick or stuffed in a pita, hot off the kitchen’s robata and josper grills.

Fancy Crab

Whether you like your crab served in a bun, on ice, in a salad, with or without sauce, you name it; Fancy Crab have you covered! The great Red King Crab on the menu might set you back a pretty penny, but other dishes are a bit more reasonably priced and equally delicious. Personally, I can’t say no to the fried tempura crab or crispy crab bites. Seriously impress your clients as a crab connoisseur at this new Marylebone restaurant.

Humble Grape Islington

Following the success of Humble Grape, Battersea (2015) and Fleet Street (2016), Humble Grape Islington is the newest neighbourhood wine bar and wine shop sourcing handcrafted wines direct from small, family-owned vineyards.Executive Head Chef Kishen Raheja continues the brand ethos and champion independent suppliers, to serve seasonal dishes using selected, quality ingredients. We loved the new menu, including the artichoke & pickles, spatchcocked chicken, and sapphire seasoned hake with Dorset white crab.
