REVIEW: Nirvana Kitchen

Nirvana Kitchen, 61 Upper Berkeley St, Marylebone, London W1H

The Vibes?

An exquisite dining room in Montcalm Hotel, decorated with slick and stylish rose gold finishes. A superior interior that reflects the luxurious pan-asian menu.

What we Ate?

To Start:

Fresh and fruity watermelon and duck salad and a juicy scallop ceviche. Both vibrant in colour and flavour. It was difficult to settle on these two, with many other starters catching our eye, like the Venison Tataki and Softshell Crab Tempura.

The signature charcoal dishes at Nirvana Kitchen are also a must.

They offer a wide range of meats including Spiced Lamb Cutlets & Beef Bolgogi. However, we chose the spicy/ sweet Chilean Sea bass.

We Drank?

We Recommend

One of the best curry’s I have had in a very long time, the Nyonya Chicken Curry is packed with cinnamon and stewed in creamy coconut milk. Served with a poached hens egg to finish this fine dish!

Our Thoughts?

Nirvana Kitchen prides itself on reviving generations-old recipes with respect for tradition and a modern twist in equal measure. And it is clear from the countless nods to Japanese, Thai and Indian influences, they have created a diverse and exciting menu, and we loved every last bit!
