The winter chill is well and truly here, and with it comes the urge to disappear to a chalet far up a French mountain side. Probably with someone sexy, called Sebastian or Isabelle. Sigh. Well we haven’t got their numbers, but we do have the inside scoop on an establishment that will trick you into believing you did book that snowy escape.
The Montague on the Gardens, one of London’s leading luxury hotels has announced the return of its Ski Lodge. A deliciously authentic slice of the Alps in our very own Bloomsbury. Come the 16th November the Lodge will be opening its doors, asking you to join them for a cosy night, off the streets and into the snow. Surrounded by low lit, twinkling lights, the smell of pine needles in the air, and a blanket wrapped round your knees. Cup your hot “choctails” close to your chest and let the steam turn your cheeks pink.
If you’re looking for a more intimate escape there is a separate Log cabin area, where you can snuggle down with a mixture of homemade schnapps and bar snacks. An ideal venue to catch up with your friends, and spend a unique evening in your own bubble away from London’s every day.
Dangle your snow boots off the Montague ski lift and take a selfie. Your friends will never know that the hottie next to you is just another London local and not a ripped ski instructor called Francois.
Open from the 16th November 2017
