REVIEW: Cafe Pacifico

A Covent Garden fixture since the 1980s, this cantina-style dancing den has been serving Londoners with a winning mix of well- made margaritas and better than average Mexican food to a satisfied crowd.

Founded by Tomas Estes, Mexico’s official tequila ambassador to the EU, the restaurant bar serves brands including Ocho, Mr Estes’ own.

Located in central London, 2 minutes walk from Covent Garden station.

The Vibes?

The cantina vibe is casual but fun, the former banana warehouse exuding a rustic colourful charm.

The Mexican feel is evident in the kitschy interior, thanks to the classic Mexican dishes and fabulous list of 100+ varieties of tequilas and mezcals. Savour the flavour straight on the rocks, mix the spirit into a Margarita or go all out with one of the delicious house cocktails, which are served by the glass or pitcher.

We Ate & Drank?

We had the Beef Fillet, mushrooms and prawns fajitas and the fresh tuna tacos.

To drink we had the Palomita Muerta and the signature margarita.

Our Thoughts?

Great little find in the heart of Covent Garden. Perfect if you are feeling peckish and want some nibbles to share after a long day of shopping!
