Inspired by the Izakayas of Japan, Kurobuta, the cult tapas-style restaurants, serve Japanese classics with strong Western influences. Kurobuta, famed for their contemporary social eating experience, serve plates to accompany drinks in a casual setting for brunch, lunch and dinner in both their Marble Arch and Chelsea locations. With rock ‘n’ roll tunes and interiors that follow suit, Kurobuta offers accessible high-end dining in a relaxed setting.
The menu offers a diverse array of innovative dishes including sushi, Japanese dude food, tempura and robata. Guests can choose from dishes such as tuna sashimi pizza with truffle ponzu and wasabi tobiko; tea smoked lamb chops with spicy korean miso sauce; BBQ pork belly buns with peanut soy; miso baked aubergine with candied walnuts and sancho pepper; spicy tuna rolled in tempura crunchies and wagyu sliders with onion tempura, umami mayo and Japanese BBQ sauce.
Starting as a pop up five years ago, Kurobuta now has two permanent sites in London where diners can watch chefs at work in the open kitchens. The bars offer Japanese inspired cocktails, made by the expert bar team, sake and Japanese beer to accompany the traditional ingredients and flavours from the cooking. The Chelsea venue offers self-pour Asahi beer on tap which is the first of its kind in Europe.
Kurobuta Marble Arch is perfect for events and can accommodate for different sized groups.
