Review: Indian Accent

What?

Following Delhi and New York, ‘India’s Best Restaurant’* landed in Mayfair at the end of last year, quickly
winning acclaim for its inventive dishes.

Indian Accent showcases Chef Manish Mehrotra’s ability to redefine high-end Indian cuisine whilst keeping faithful to traditionally
grounded recipes.

Where?

16 Albemarle Street, London, W1S 4HW

The Vibes?

From the moment you are greeted by the wonderful and enthusiastic front of house team, you know you are in for an experience!

The glowing golden interior is beautiful and subtle.

The architecture is designed by Design LSM and fuses clean lines and contemporary elements with gold and emerald, the colours of traditional opulence.

The waiters and waitresses are exceptional.

We ate?

We went for the chef’s tasting menu which I think is a must for the full experience!

Favourites are: Tofu Masala, Soy Keema ( Cannot believe that it’s not lamb! ) and Chicken Malai Tikka with Truffle- This is honestly one of the best dishes I have ever eaten!

We also ordered the ghee roast lamb, roomali roti pancakes, chutneys as this is one of the signature dishes. Loved it!

Private Hire?

They offer both partial and full buyouts of the restaurant, depending on the time desired and the size of your party. They can accommodate 40 covers on the ground floor, 30 covers on the lower ground floor for group dining. For private dining, we can accommodate 14-18 covers. View details

They are now taking Christmas Party bookings. You can view their  menus here.

Our Thoughts?

This gets a massive 5 Stars and it’s no wonder why Fay Maschler also awarded them this.

I can honestly say that the staff are best I have seen in any London restaurant. They are not over the top either they are just perfect.

The whole experience was amazing and cannot wait to go back!
