Whether you’re a P.L Travers fan or a life long Thespian, you’ll love these childhood throwbacks we’ve hand picked for you.

Aqua Shard – Mary Poppins

Swan Pub – Midsummer Night’s Dream

If you’re in the mood for something romantic, the Swan have an afternoon tea inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Fall in love with their hand crafted sweet and savoury treats, or become spellbound by their ‘love potion cocktail’ – featuring a mix of Earl Grey infused gin, honey, blackberry puree and prosecco.

Alternatively, the Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea, offers a more savoury menu, featuring a choice of pale ale or lager for the savoury fans.

One Aldwych – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Roald Dahl fans will be delighted with this afternoon tea. Indulge in bubblegum panna cotta, homemade candy floss, and a golden chocolate egg filled with vanilla cheesecake and mango. To go with your sweet treats, you can choose from a fabulous selection of inspired teas, such as Mango Noir, Chocolate Tea, Rose Garden and more.

If you’re feeling very grown up, try the Cocktail Charlie – Dalmor whisky mixed with Merlet Soeurs Cerises cherry liqueur, chocolate bitters, grapefruit juice and cherry syrup. Topped with Champagne.

Sanderson – Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea

Tumble down the rabbit hole chapter by chapter with speciality cocktails before diving into some delicious character inspired treats. Expect savoury delights such as King of Hearts ham and parmesan croque-monsieur, white rabbit cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches. Sweet tooths can look forward to Queen of Hearts rose and strawberry Jammy Dodgers, Mad March Hare vanilla pocket watch macaroon, and Wonderland marshmallow magic mushrooms to name a few.

The Kensington Hotel – Tale as Old as Time Afternoon Tea

Be our guest at this charming Afternoon Tea, inspired by the classic tale Beauty and the Beast. Meet Mrs. Potts and the cutest Chip Potts, and dive into the sweets treats on offer, ranging from vanilla and gold jelly, presented in glasses with the oh-so important rose petal inside, served with cream poured from Mrs Potts herself. Get a taste of the snowball fight that Belle and the Beast once had, with the Spiced Chocolate and Coconut Snowball Macaroon.

It wouldn’t be a tale as old as time without Cogsworth, who will be featured as a Chocolate Clock Tart. Try the Grey stuff from the film, (which is actually White Chocolate Mousse) recommended by none other than Lumiere himself. Savoury lovers do not fret, as there will be a hearty selection of treats for you too, including Bite-sized Venison Pie, Cheese Souffle, and Beef Ragu and Saffron Arancini served with Lemon Creme Fraiche.
