Where to celebrate National Seafood Week

National Seafood week is just around the corner and this is the perfect opportunity to rekindle our love of fish and shellfish. Seafood week aims to celebrate the wonderful seafood we have access to and showcase the huge variety of seafood dishes that can be enjoyed as part of a balanced and healthy lifestyle. So for National Seafood week, from the 5-12th October, why not celebrate with some of London’s finest restaurants who are championing the finest seafood produce in their menus.

Three-tiered Frutti di Mare platter at Bluebird

The renowned restaurant on King’s Road in Chelsea is a haven for great food, and they are pulling out all the stops to celebrate National Seafood week. Bluebird are serving a three tiered fruitti di mare platter  comprising Jersey rock oysters, langoustines, prawns, clams, Shetland mussels and half a lobster topped with toast, cabernet sauvignon vinegar, shallots and aioli. Enjoy the platter in the stunning upstairs restaurant with views over the beautiful courtyard.
Frutti di mare platter £60 for 2 people, half lobster is an additional £20.

Seafood Saxy Brunch at Skylon

From the 6th October, Skylon on Southbank is adding some special seafood dishes to their weekend brunch menu. For National Seafood week, the Skylon Saxy brunch will include Shetland steam mussels in a white wine cream sauce and a dozen or half a dozen oysters. With views across the River Thames, Skylon is the perfect place to unwind with live music from the resident saxophonist and DJ, whilst enjoying brunch in the bright and airy restaurant.

Oysters and champagne at Plateau Restaurant

From 5-12th October, Plateau Restaurant in Canary Wharf is celebrating National Seafood week in style. For a truly refined dining experience, Plateau is serving three Colchester rock oysters and a glass of champagne for £15.

Nordic fish board at Aster 

Aster’s modern European menu, curated by executive chef Helena Puolakka, is celebrating National Seafood week from the 5-12th October with a Nordic fish board and glass of crisp white wine for £18. The fish board will host an impressive seafood medley of crab mayonnaise, cured salmon, juicy Greenland prawns and potato salad with chives accompanied with a glass of white wine for a special price for the week.
