A traditional fresh pasta restaurant in Aldgate! what more could you want?!
Emilia’s Pasta – Originally based in St Katharine’s Docks has now expanded to Aldgate with affordable and delicious dishes to enjoy in the heart of London. The menu consists of everyone’s favourite classics such as Carbonara and Bolognese along with the choice of freshly made pasta on site that morning – Rigatoni, Casarecce and Bucatini. Below each of the mains presented on the menu is a small description stating the traditionality of that plate, adding more charisma and personality to the dish.
“Originally eaten beneath Capri’s blue Sky, this dish oozes with the spirit and taste of the Amalfi coast”
The restaurant presents a rustic and contemporary feel, the white marble tables compliment the dark painted furniture and copper coloured walls, promoting the italian countryside personality within.
What we ate!
Homemade creamy Walnut Sauce with chestnut Mushrooms (Casarecce Pasta) – This plate was exactly how it sounds, the creamy sauce made it so flavoursome along with the chestnut mushrooms was definitely one of my favourites!
Homemade Parmesan, Pecorino and Basil (Casarecce Pasta) – The colour of this dish really respresents the freshness within. The traditional homemade pesto is made with heavenly layers of Parmigiano-regianno!
4 hour slow cooked bechamel bolognese with grated parmesan (Papardalle Pasta) – This dish is a classic! You could really appreciate the time which has gone into the sauce as it really differs from any other Bolognese I have ever had!
What we thought!
This restaurant is definitely up there with our favourite Italian’s. If you need a restaurant for catch up with friends or a super easy business lunch this is the place. Along with the tasty dishes the menu comprises of a selection of your favourite cocktails such as Aperol or Peach Bellini which can suit any occasion!
