Room2 Southampton Hometel Review

What is a hometel you ask? Well… Room2 in Southampton have taken the flexibility of home and combined them with your favourite factors of a hotel. This stylish hotel that looks over queens park and the harbour allows their guests to feel relaxed in their modern and quirky decorative rooms!

The 24-hour stay instead of the usual 21 hours allows you to feel right at home with a 2 pm check in – 2 pm check out. This gives the guests an opportunity to fully immerse themselves in their stay without worrying about the early morning breakfast/checkout rush!

The Bedroom

The bedrooms were bright and modern, fully equipped with a sofa and dining table – ideal if you were planning on having a long stay.

As well as a cool interior, the room came with Chromecast on the tv and a radio which was tuned to a relaxing jazz station upon arrival!
The rooms at the hometel come with a small kitchenette, dining table and the choice of mattress to suit your own personal need!

The Living Room

The lounge area gives you the opportunity to relax with a coffee or cocktail as well a vast selection of bites to eat from Pizza to fresh cakes and pastries! The breakfast offered to guests in the morning is a buffet with a range of options from a waffle or egg station as well as traditional English breakfast and coffee made to order. If the guests would prefer to dine in their room then they have the option to purchase dry ingredients from the pantry in the lounge to cook in their private kitchenette in their room.

The Drawing room can also be used for a meeting, seminar or to entertain clients which can accommodate up to 12 people!

Our Thoughts

This cosy and sleek hotel has everything you need to make your stay convenient and easy! From the private car park to the electronic room keys which you can generate on your phone ensures that you feel at the uppermost relaxed during your stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re ever in Southampton or even passing through on your way to the harbour!
