Review: BunCo London

BunCo has just landed in the City and it is the perfect spot for lunch!

Originating from Taiwan, these freshly steamed Bao buns also have a Turkish twist! The menu ranges with fillings from Chicken shish to fallafel as well as vegan and vegetarian options. With BunCo being the first Boa Bun Restaurant in Istanbul only a year ago, they have decided to take on the big city to conquer the lunch time hunger. The express service and friendly staff helps to make your work day slightly more bearable!

What we ate!

Whole Wheat Bun and Fried Chicken

We decided to pop in to BunCo for lunch and got the lunch deal which allows you to choose from two different buns with completely different fillings as well as a side of your choice. This could be coleslaw, soup of the day, Hummus and of course fries which is what we went for! The portions were the perfect size for a quick lunch time grab without super sluggish afterwards as well as finishing off with a refreshingly summery San Pellegrino.

As well as the option of Bao Buns, the salad boxes are a big hit with bases ranging from Keshek (Creamy Wheat), Lentil Stew or Quinoa Salad. You can top these off with a meat choice, falafel or their Vegan choice.

Our Thoughts…

BunCo is a great spot for a bite to eat whether you’re only peckish or wanting a large lunch. They also provide platters which are great for ordering for the whole office with an option for everyone! If you are ever in the area remember to check it out as the Nutella Boa Bun with strawberries is the dream!
