The Ivy Victoria has announced that it will open its doors on Tuesday, 12 November, with reservation lines open from Wednesday, 16 October.
In celebration of the opening and as a nod to Victorian London, five penny farthings took to the streets, passing historic landmarks including Buckingham Palace, The Mall and Horse Guards Parade. In further celebration, the Ivy Bus – fully adorned in green ivy – will be travelling through Victoria and the local area this week to spread the exciting news ahead of opening.
Situated in the heart of London Victoria’s bustling business quarter at 66 Victoria Street, The Ivy Victoria will offer a welcoming and sophisticated all-day dining destination for locals and visitors to enjoy. Set across two beautiful floors, the destination will accommodate 292 guests and will feature striking interiors, an impressive upstairs bar area and outdoor terrace seating. Elements of the terrace will be fully covered to allow guests to enjoy an oasis of calm in the heart of Victoria all year round. For events and special occasions, a private dining room – The Pelican Room – can be booked for 20 guests seated.
Open seven days a week, the restaurant will serve an all-encompassing menu, complete with modern British classics and internationally inspired dishes for those looking to enjoy breakfast, elevenses, coffees, weekend brunch, lunch, cocktails and dinner from dawn until dusk. Overseen by Head Chef Katie Burke, dishes will include warming roast pumpkin soup with truffle ricotta, pine nuts and crispy sage, truffled wild mushroom with potato rosti and fried quail’s eggs, as well as the delicious Ivy vegetarian Shepard’s pie and malted banana ice cream with chocolate brownie, caramelised banana, candied pecans and cocoa nib tuile for those with a sweet tooth.
Guests will also be able to enjoy an exciting drinks menu, balcony space and calendar of entertainment and DJs upstairs on the first floor. For Londoners looking for an after-work or weekend cocktail destination, the new menu will feature the St. James Sparklemade with Beefeater Gin, Ginger Liqueur, Crème de Pêche, lemon & Angostura bitters, the Hazelnut Alexandermade with VSOP Cognac, Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur and cream, finished with grated nutmeg, and the Palace Passion, made with fresh passion fruit shaken with Absolut Vanilla Vodka, and finished with flaming, over proof rum in a passion fruit shell.
